Established in 1988 as the first private university in the GCC, Ajman University (AU) also was the first university in the UAE to admit expatriate students of both genders. AU continues to be a pioneer for inclusion, innovation, and social impact, and is among the Top 5 universities in the UAE, according to the 2025 QS World University Rankings, which places it among the top 1.6% institutions worldwide.
In November 2019, Ajman University (AU) announced the formation of the Student Success Center (SSC) to serve all the students enrolled at the University, to help reach their full academic potential and thrive during their University years.
Trained and certified Studiosity Lead Students guiding other students
The rollout of Studiosity in conjunction with the Student Success Centre began at the start of 2024. It was implemented in a few key phases: Studiosity had a booth at the Student Hub; Ajman nominated Studiosity Lead Students (SLSs) from their Peer Mentoring program; the SLS were then trained and certified, and implemented Studiosity engagement activities within specific colleges. The SLS acted as a communication bridge between SSC and colleges, providing valuable feedback.

The College of Humanities and Sciences was identified as a primary beneficiary of the writing feedback service. In collaboration with the HOD of foreign languages and faculty members, Studiosity was promoted among students in this college, and SSC admin members visited English classes to tell students about the service.
The next target college is the College of Engineering, who will explore how Studiosity's Connect Live service can help them fill in gaps to navigate and excel in maths and physics.
Impact on student culture
"Studiosity promotes a culture shift where students learn and grow from their mistakes, rather than search for ready answers."
- Dr Nadir Kheir, SSC Manager
