At a gala ceremony in Dubai late last year, Ibn Tofail University was awarded the 'Outstanding Support for Students' accolade at Times Higher Education Awards Arab World 2024, for their Space for Students with Disabilities project. Studiosity support this award category globally, and were delighted to present the award to President Prof Mohamed Kerkeb on the evening.

To learn more about Ibn Tofail's award-winning initiative, Dr Ashraf Mahate interviewed the President and they discussed the university's Space for Students with Disabilities, and its efforts to democratise access to AI and coding.
"Success is not solely measured by earning a degree or securing immediate employment. It is also reflected in students' ability to learn how to learn, demonstrate resilience in the face of challenges and adapt to new global and societal realities."
In the interview, Professor Kerkeb emphasises the university's holistic approach to education, focusing on developing well-rounded individuals who can positively contribute to society. He shares his passion for academia, his inspiring early teachers, and his desire to share knowledge and see his students succeed in life.
